Then I kind of went a little crazy. I ended up making about 17 more! I just wanted to make lots of colors so that she would have a pretty little headband with just about any outfit she would wear. I'm kinda silly like that. I love to have matching things. And when I get an idea I kinda go nutz on it for a little while until I'm satisfied that I worked it to it's potential.

I knew that an ivory head band with lace, flower and ribbon was only one design that would be pretty. But there were many more. Not all of them including lace or flowers. One of my favorite creations is the silver/gray band (above) with the rhinestone heart buckle bow. It's my Bling Baby band :)

Then there's the cute springtime inspired bands that have daisy's or the yellow and pink bow. So dainty and cute :) Some of them I didn't add any bow to and only put some satin roses to adorn them. While others I only added a bow with no flowers. They all have different personalities. I love things to be that way. I never like to have the same thing over and over. I think that's why I love my carreer so much. Making custom garters is an adventure most every time. So many different personalities to portray in the small yet artful leg art - the Garter.

I created the burgundy and ivory band with a golden satin rose for the holidays. It will look so lovely with a Thanks Giving or Christmas dress. I still am not sure what outfit she will wear but I'll be sure to find somthing to match it. :) This is so much fun. I never got to do this kind of "girly stuff" having boys all these years.

One of the most unique bands I made was the pink one with the puffy heart decorations on it. It's a cutey one. I can't wait till she gets a chance to wear each of these. I hope I will remember to take pictures each time she does wear them so I can post them to show my little angle off :) he he he.

A little about Val: Val is a very special little girl. She was born on the 4th of July. (let Freedom ring) But she was not born free... she was born a slave to drugs.... addicted to cocaine. Her mother used cocaine through out her pregnancy. it's horrible!! So poor little Val had to stay in the hospital nursery for the first MONTH of her life. They needed to give her medication to help her through the painful withdrawl process. Poor thing... only 4lb 8oz at birth - she was so tiny. But grew and improved and the day before her 1 month old birth day - we were able to take her home with us! My husband and I had thought about adoption for about 10 years now. This may be it. She is held up in court because her father want's her - but we don't know how it will work out. He's gotten many woman pregnant and all the baby's have been addicted to Coke - so this is a horrible terrible thing that is going on. But we will take things one day at a time. God has blessed us with her and her with us. We will love her as our own and take care of her until the day we find out if she will leave us... or the day she is adopted by us. Which ever the Lord's will is, it shall be.
Isn't she a cutie :)
