TODAY is the day! We say I do...

I was all ready, dress and veil set in place...

We made it through all the stress... it was great to be there in the bridal quarters with my dad.  Getting all ready to walk down the isle.  I helped him with his boutonniereand we were just about set...  when...

Well you know - in my last post I was talking about things not being perfect and things will go wrong... well they do and they did

Everyone was ready - the bride was ready with warm feet  (not cold mind you)  and the groom he was rarin' to go too... So what was the glitch?   Well the Justice of the peace was the glitch I tell you!   This man still was NOT there!   He should have been at the Chateau at least an hour before but he still was MIA.   So what were we going to do?   Noone to marry us... So the MC of the day offered to do it - but the kicker was that he had a capains license - so the only way he could do it (because he had authority to do so there only) was out on the high seas... ARG MATIE  -  Well I didn't want to take off into the sea to get married like a pirate just yet.  (although we may have done it if plan C didn't work).  Then the next idea (plan B) was to just have the reception and get married the next day officially -  WHAT??? NO WAY I said... the Reception is to Recieve the new HUSBAND AND WIFE -  I would not hear of that idea. It was completely off the stove - not even on a back burner!

Everyone is stressin' My Future Father inlaw is ready to take someones head off.   So he decided that they (him and one of his buddies) would make a little visit to the Head judges house. (plan C)   This judge is the boss of the one who is MIA.  They show up at this mans house while he's lounging in his hot tub.   After telling him of the news of the "No show" judge... the Boss man puts on his black judging robe and hops on over to the Chateau La Mer.   Thankfully it was only an HOUR later than it should have been.   Half  of our guests were probably on their way to being blitzed cause we swapped around the Cocktail hour  - which was supose to be AFTER the ceremony -  and had it while we waited for the judge.   But all in all - it worked out great and we ...

GOT MARRIED!
Woo hoo.

My Dad got to walk me down the isle and it was blissful.

Do you?   I Do!    **********************************    Do you?  I Do!
Good your Husband and Wife!

It was a fast ceremony since everything was way behind - and I didn't care.  I was happy to know that we did get married on that day like we were supose to.   Stupid judge or no stupid judge - we got married!

YIPPY -  We were now officially Husband and Wife -  you can see the look of relief on hubs face and the look of satisfaction like  "we did it" on my face.  It was a good day afterall !
We got to Dance...

Cut the cake (and smear a tiny bit of it too)

Do the Garter thing -  (this was before i became the Garter Diva that I am now)  LOL

and we got to kiss a whole lot !

We did it Back 16 Years ago and we would do it again  (infact we did do - just that)

On our 10 year anniversary we renewed our vows - but that's another blog altogether.

HAPPY 16TH ANNIVERSARY
