YES!

We moved to California and things were going well - but we had our ups and downs (it's a ghost story that I'll pass on telling)  but we made  it through the time and are hear to tell about it    :)
One ThanksGiving we went to Arizona to visit with family we have out there.   Hub decided this would be a great time to ask my dad for my hand.  So he went out and talked to him about things.  My dad was really excited I think  - cause when he came into the house and sat at the table he proceeded  (with a great big smile on his face) to say -  "I have some great news,  There will be a wedding and I'll have a future son-inlaw"   what?  huh?  everyone was looking at Me and Hub like - "did we miss something - why didn't you tell us?"   "where's the ring"  etc... LOL - we were like - Uh well he never popped the question to ME... But he did ask dad for my hand I guess.  LOL
OOOPS -  My dad kinda jumped the gun on that one.
So anyway On Christmas Eve -  I had to work - I was a T-Bird Diner waitress/entertainer/ dancer.   It was a fun and exciting job for me in that time of my life.   But I really didn't want to be working on Christmas eve...  As I was getting some things ready - the DJ gets on the mic and annouces that there is something special - and would I (me) please go up to the front of the room -  So I did - and guess who walks through the door way - but hub - all dressed in a suit and with a bouquet of roses.   He proceeds to get down on his one knee and propose the big question.   and ofcourse I said YES!!   It sure made my day a better one!   I had a beautiful ring to stair at all day -and forget about all the customers who wanted my help.  LOL
We had plans to be married in June and since it was only 6 months away - I thought that wasn't enough time so we planned it for a year and a half from then... But when that June rolled around - I just could not see waiting another whole year... So I proposed that we "just do it"  that we go to NY (our home turf) and just get married at the family reunion that was going to happen that August.   So hub said "sure"  (he's always been an easy going kinda guy) So we started getting everything together... and that will be saved for tomorrows blog  :)
one thing -  I WISH I had the INTERNET back then... You brides now adays have it soooooo much better than I did.   I would have been one of those savy brides with a great wedding website blog - and had so much fun with it.  but there was no such thing back in the early 90's.  (wahhh poor me... ) okay enough of THAT  ;)
have a great day guys -
remember this one thing - the wedding day is ONE day of your life - but the marriage is for the REST of the days - so focus more on your relationship so that your marriage can remain a GREAT one.
