You must be best friends!

I don't care how many best friends a gal can have that are other gals... When it comes to marriage - your spouse NEEDS to be one of your best friends, if not THE best friend you have.  This is one of the most important building blocks a relationship can have.   Friendship BEFORE any sexual relationship.   Too many people don't keep these important factors in their lives... and it shows.
We finally made it to California.... here we are tired and hot... future hub  just woke up and I just cut my hair off... we both look "lovely"  LOL   We had each other so who cares about it right?  right.
Back in the day -  my Hub and I focused on being friends.   We did rush into physical relationship at first but then I told him I wanted to back off and just hang out  -   most guys would have just blown me off cause that's just what they do... if you don't "give it up" they look for a gal who will.   But I knew there was something special with my man - cause he said OK  :)  It was probably one of the best things we did for your relationship.  We grew a FRIENDSHIP -  we went places did things with each other that were fun and became each other's closest companions.
We were silly with each other too.  I think if you can't be silly with your hub than there's something wrong there LOL
Here are a few of our silly moments before we got married... those moments when I was so happy to be with him... and realizing he was THE man for me  :)
It was hot and the place was all new so I was inspired to chop my hair off...   I went into the bathroom and just CHOPPED.   it came out cute.   but I don't think I'd do it again.   Just a little to short for me.   But hub loved me anyway... what a guy!
Speaking of chopping... I cut my hubs hair all the time (as you may have read at the previous blog)    Well one day he was giving me a hard time so I told him... "cut it out or i'm gonna give you a Mohawk!"   well he didn't cut it out... and he dared me to  LOL

Moral of the story -  I mean what I say and say what I mean  LOL  -   Hub got a mohawk alright.
Beside doing silly things... We went to fun places (as we still like to do)   Riding on carosells and playing in the park are fun!
Being a kid at heart keeps the love burning if you can have fun with your boyfriend/fiance.  Being silly is even better at times.   I love doing silly things - it makes for good memories.   Take for instance this time Hub and I decided to wear some wigs.  LOL
We actually went out to the store in these  LOL -  Yes we were so silly -  Being this way is fun.    I think if we didn't take the time to have fun like this - our relationship would not have grown in the way it did.   As it is -  he is the only man or person for that matter that I would want in my life on a constant basis  (not including my kids)  but as far as adults go -  He is the one I want around - he's the one I want to talk to and hang with - he fills a void in me that no other friend or family member does.  He became my Best Friend.
I am so happy that we are about to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary!  I hope you will make it to this point as well.   Next blog coming soon - about the engagement  :)
