So many styles and designs. The true artist can see the talent no matter what style it is. Take for instance these aisle runners. They are all very different, yet they are completely lovely. While One artist may have a more contemporary style others may be more frilly... Another artist may make use of a flowery style and others may like hearts and scrolls. All are beautiful in their own right.
Beth at Chic Unique has a more modern and fun flair - but does this mean she can never use flowers in her designs? No I would say not. She is the artist and her clients may ask her to do something special. I would say it's a wonderful thing to be able to custom design something personally unique for each client.
Stephanie at Starry Night Design Studio tends towards flower motiffs. She does a beautiful job. However, does this mean that she can never have a more modern and contemporary feel to her work? I really don't think so.
Cherin at Customized Wedding Creations has a flair for the contemporary for sure. Adding in some glitz and glamour as well. But if she ever wanted to make lacy, flowery or frilly designs because her client asked her to, she can and should.
It's very wrong of people to try and pigeon whole an artist into any one style or design. Speaking from an artists point of view I say - let the Inspiration take you where it will! Creating and Art is all about FREEDOM of Expression. Take the clients wants, needs and desires, then... Design from your heart & mind.
It would be close-minded and rather ignorant for someone to say one or the other is better. For the designs are just different. Each person is entitled to his/her opinion, however it's wrong "In my oppinion" to only post about the things that I LIKE. Because then I would be cheating you all out of knowing about the talented artists in our wonderful wedding industry.
What a boring world this would be if every thing had to be only one style. Thank goodness this is not the case!!
