I'm so very excited to show you what I've been working on this week!
I have done so many personalized garters... it would be impossible to highlight them all. However, these three are just totally cute and the gals who ordered them are awesome to work with. The first 2 are my latest Creations and Then the 3rd one is from a couple months ago... I totally forgot to post anything about the amazingly cool 007 James Bond inspired garter that I created over the summer. Everything was totally hectic with wedding stuff and my dads 75th Birthday party that we hosted at our home... But I did remember it now since I was in the "embroidered garter" frame of mind. ;)
The first garter is inspired by my client's college. It has lots of sentimental value and represents her fiances sport as well. She had me sew on a small silver Football charm that says "I love Football" on it. Then on each side of the bows - the words "WABASH" AND "COLLEGE" are professionally embroidered and sewn in place. This was an express rush order. My client needed it ASAP. When payment came in on Monday night I worked creating the custom embroidery pattern. Then I created the entire garter and stitched everything up to ship out yesterday. She did pay the Express rush service to have created right away, and it was my pleasure to work it for her!
The next ones I just sent off into the mail yesterday as well, were the Miltary inspired garter set below. My client had her name and date embroidered on the band in a casual script font. I designed that embroidery pattern to fit the band. It came out adorable. One garter is a thin band and the other is a wider band - they are both style 01 garters (you can
read about the style 01 garters here) The embellishment in the center of the bow is for the Marine Corps. I have many
patriotic &
military charms/pins here if you want to see.
Now, last but certainly not least - is the really cute and totally fun 007 James Bond Inspired garter. (which is a style 02 garter - you can read about them here) I created this over the summer and it came out completely great. I had to work the embroidery pattern a few times since it wouldn't stitch the way I wanted it to, at first (this custom embroidery stuff is a wonderful art I've been mastering over the past 6+ years)
I created the 007 numbers and stitched them onto the front ruffle with a cute silver gun hanging from the bow. Then created a gun embroidery pattern to be stitched onto the back. I pulled it all together with the small red accent ruffle on the bottom of the satin band/ruffle. It then became fully inspired by the cool James Bond poster.
