Sometimes the Treasure is Camouflaged

Hide away your military garter in a box that's painted especially for it!

This was a fun giftbox and custom garter to create. Special for one of my Military brides. You can have a unique and "one of a kind" custom hand-painted gift box created just for you or your loved one as well!

Travis D Gymnast

I'm such an excited mom right at this moment!   This past Sunday was the very first competitive meet my son participated in.   It was for the Level 5 Mens gymnastic competition.  He was one of 4 from his team to bring home a metal.   He came in 7th place out of over 50 or 60 other boys from various gyms.   only 6 other boys  performed better than him.   This is a HUGE accomplishment

- you see -

Just about 12 months ago, Travis had never done gymnastics in his life!

Last November 2009 He had his first class that was an hour long to try it out  - merely because he liked to do handstands.  And here we are -  December 2010  and he is competing at the Level 5 catagory!!  Only 4 boys out of his team of over 10  boys were awarded a metal.   We are so happy for him and beleive It's amazing!!

Below is the first video I ever took of T.   It's the one before he ever joined any gymnastics... just doing his handstands that he loves so much to do.  (who knew it would lead to such exciting things... and God willings,  so much more to come)

Gymnastics is not an inexpensive sport!  It is very costly and time consuming.   Travis currently trains 10 hours per week and will likely be moving up to 13 Plus , hours per week.   WeThank you for purchasing the Hand-Crafted Creations by Victoria.  As all proceeds help to fund the continued training of Travis D. Gymnast.

I have created a brand new YouTube channel exclusively for videos of T.   It is at this link.

We will be posting videos of his future training, competitive meets and accomplishments. We hope you will subscribe to this channel to root him on with encouragment.

NYPD Wedding garters all boxed up

Beautiful multi-tone gift box.  Hand painted with shades of blue with a little white mixed in.  This box coordinates with the special NYPD Wedding Garters that were created for one of my New York brides.   Small silver Handcuffs adorn each garter along with the custom embroidered NYPD monogram letters.

Any Department can be represented by letter and a coordinating gift box can be added to any order.  Makes a beautiful presentation as a gift and keepsake.

Alittle of this... a little of that

Don't you just HATE it when you work your butt off on something only to be disapointed in the way it turns out?   I had such a time this week.   I created this beautiful sage green and brown monogrammed garter .   This Fabric was so pretty on the roll and it sewed up fine .... BUT, when it came time to have it gathered for the elastic, the fabric got all weird on me.   (This sort of thing just makes me so frustrated. ) Now I won't be using this sage fabric for this design any longer...

In any event - the garter design itself is so pretty.   Very earthy and natural with the colors used.   I love it.

The beautiful dress tag I created recently came out lovely.   I was very pleased with it, so that's a good thing  :)  It said   "Today a bride, tomorrow a wife" with the date below.   I created a modern clean looking border for it and coordinated the light and dark blues to match with her wedding colors.

Ahhhhh - finding my happy place again

Back in the end of October I made a decision to leave the social media world of Facebook and Twitter behind.
At about the same time - I decided to go on a extened holiday break, taking no website orders.   It has been wonderful!!
I must say - after about 10 years of working on-line and creating all kinds of custom creations, it's nice to take a break. I'm thinking I'll probably start taking orders again in February.  You may check my homepage periodically for the announcement if you like.  (http://www.customweddinggarters.com/ )

You're also welcome to read all about my personal soul searching jouney right at the link at the bottom of this post.

While I do miss interacting with certain people on FB -  overall it has been a very positive experience to let it all go.   I feel FREE!

Thank you God

 for Giving me

the Wisdom to Show Restraint
