Mom, I wish you were here...

Sometimes it's unfortunate and sad that a brides mother has passed away and can't be with her daughter on her most special wedding day.   But one small yet sentimental thing can be done to bring a bit of "mom" into the day.   Have custom designed bridal accessories made out of her wedding dress.  

Recently I had a sweet young bride come to me and request that I make her a Lux garter and a dress tag for her using her mothers wedding gown material.   Her mother had passed away.   I was so moved by her story, so I made the time in my vacation schedule to create something really special for her. 

Below are the Monogrammed garter with personalized lettering on the inside,  and dress tag I designed shown in enlarged detail .   I used her dress satin and lace which she sent to me.   The lace in the center of the dress tag was from her mothers round wedding hat.  I designed the personalized embroidery in a circle pattern to encompass the lace.  Then I created the label in the shape of a circle to  coordinate with the round design of the lettering.
